Appassionata Piano & Cello Studio offers various music adventures for children as well as adults!



5 - 8 Years Old

  • Minimusic Classes:   This music appreciation and beginning piano skills class will help your child  discover the joy and fun of music! No piano is required as all learning is done in class! This is the first level  class in the studio for those children who have had no previous music instruction and is a prerequisite to Piano Blast Group Lessons. School year classes are 50 min weekly for 28 weeks. Monthly tuition $80 and includes music book and supplies.https://minimusic.net/parent-information/
  • PIANO Blast Group Lessons: These engaging weekly 50 minute group lessons are designed specifically to spend time learning piano skills, playing by ear, theory games, and learning to read music in a relaxed  but structured and encouraging environment. Students learn together, encourage each other, and play music together! Class size is limited to 6 total students. Monthly tuition of $110 includes supplementary music and supplies. However, lesson &theory books, and metronome will need to be purchased separately by each student after the first 8 weeks.
  • Individual Piano Lessons & Monthly Performance/Theory Class  - Available only to students who have completed music appreciation, group piano lessons and/or have already been taking individual lessons. 
    • Weekly Individual Lessons: Limited number of 30, 45 or 60 minute time slots available. 
    • Monthly 50 Minute Performance/Theory Class: Students taking individual lessons are grouped in classes by similar age/playing level. The majority of the class is spent performing pieces for one another and playing theory/music games
  • MiniMusic Piano Summer Camp: Not ready to dive into group piano lessons just yet but want to have your child explore an interest in music? This music appreciation camp will help your child  discover the joy and fun of music.

8 - 11  Years Old

  • Piano or Cello Blast Group Lessons: These engaging weekly 50 minute group lessons are designed specifically to spend time learning piano or cello skills, playing by ear, theory games, and learning to read music in a relaxed  but structured and encouraging environment. Students learn together, encourage each other, and play music together! Class size is limited to 5 total students. Monthly tuition of $110 and includes supplementary music and supplies. However, lesson and theory books, flashcards, and metronome will need to be purchased separately by each student after the first 8 weeks.
  • Individual Piano or Cello  Lessons & Monthly Performance/Theory Class  - Available onlyto students who have completed music appreciation, group piano/cello  lessons and/or have already been taking individual lessons. 
    • Weekly Individual Lessons: Limited number of 30, 45 or 60 minute time slots available.
    • Monthly 50 Minute class: Students taking individual lessons are grouped in classes by similar age/playing level. The majority of the class is spent performing pieces for one another and playing theory/music games.
  • Summer MiniMusic Camps:  Each weekly mini- camp is 75 minutes of fun filled and hands-on learning experience with friends! Themes such as composers, musical instruments, music around the world, Musical.S.T.E.M.,composing, reading lead charts and improvising, and many other skills are explored.

11 Years Old - College Age

  • Individual Piano Lessons & Monthy Performance/Theory Class
    • Weekly Individual Lessons: Limited number of 45 or 60 minute time slots available.
    • Performance/Theory Monthly Class: Students taking individual lessons are grouped in classes by similar age/playing level. The majority of the 50 min class is spent performing pieces for one another and playing theory/music games.
  • Individual Cello Lessons & Performanice/Theory Class: 
  • Weekly individual lessons : Limited number of 30min or 45min lessons avaiable for very beginners to adults. Great for elementary-highschool orchestra students looking to progress quickly and learn more advanced skills.Theory and eartraining are included in lessons as well as participation in performace classes and studio recitals.
  • Summer Music Camps & Workshops:   Music camp is a fun filled, and hands-on learning experience with friends!  Camps are available for elementary age/middle school and workshops are for high school students. Themes such as composers, musical instruments, music around the world, composing, reading lead charts and improvising, and many other skills are explored.

Adults: All ages from beginning to intermediate!

Specialized Adventures

  • Duo/Buddy Lessons: This type of lesson involves two students(similar age&ability) who are taught at the same time. Learning and making music with a piano buddy is fun and motivating! Lessons are 45 min weekly and  include  learning new pieces ,building strong listening skills, theory games ,and duets. Monthly Tuition $125
  • Music Matters Homeschool Class: Looking for a music class to supplement your Classical Conversations curriculum or your study of Fine Arts? This 60 minute weekly class explores composers, music history, instruments, and music appreciation through literature,lap books, games, listening, and hands on activities. This class is for 1st-5th grade students and runs in two 9 week semesters( Sept.-Nov. and January-March). and culminates in a fun Open House Party. (Contact Laura)
  • Pedagogy Course for High School students:  This course fulfills a 0.5 credit in Fine Arts for home educated students. The focus of this course is developing the intermediate/advanced pianist  in the art of teaching piano. Learn how to become a good teacher and start your own studio! (Contact Laura)
  • Prep for College Music Degree and  Auditions: Preparation and planning for 11th and 12th grade students who are serious musicians desiring  music to be an important part of their future/career.(contact Laura)
